The St. Joseph River Valley produces a wealth of the finest fruits and vegetables in America. Our climate allows us to grow nearly anything except citrus fruit, making plentiful produce available at roadside markets, U-Pick orchards, and farm markets. You can also enjoy meals prepared with these locally grown fruits and vegetables at many of our fine restaurants.

Our lake effect climate and light, beach-like soils make our small corner of the state a designated American Viticultural Area (AVA). This means our vineyards produce some of the very best grapes, which allows our wineries to create some finest wines in the Midwest. Discover the world of wine by visiting one of tasting rooms nestled among the rolling hills and inland lakes of the Four Flags Area.
