Families and friends gather at City Hall Park on Memorial Day, for the 10:30 a.m. opening ceremonies that honor the many Veterans who served our country.
The ceremony includes a featured speaker, performances by the high school, middle school and Kalamazoo bagpipe bands, and is typically highlighted by a flyover by the Air National Guard of Battle Creek.
The Memorial Day Parade then proceeds to Riverside Cemetery for Veterans services. The Masons of Peninsular Lodge #10 host this longstanding tradition.
